If you’ve ever wanted to share a recording of your screen (say, for a tutorial?), there are a few things to consider. There are many great software choices out there for screencasting, but there’s more to it than just the software.
Inevitably, you’re going to start sharing your screen and in comes a notification from Twitter. Then, your messaging app shares a romantic text from your significant other. And finally, you hit the wrong key on your keyboard and that explicit song from *your favorite rapper’s name here* starts blaring through your speakers.
To help keep this from happening to us, we’ve created a short, reusable screencasting checklist. Check it out:

Feel free to use it as-is or fork the pen and make it your own! Happy recording!
