You don’t want to send emails from your site to users twice – once from the live version and once from the development version. What you need to do is stop your local site from sending emails!
After having to look this up a couple of times now, I figured I’d share my approach. While you currently can’t technically style previous sibling elements, I’ve figured out a pretty handy workaround.
Using the .htaccess file, you can force www or non-www URLs using the following snippets that should appear ABOVE any other code in your WordPress .htaccess.
