Last year around this time I posted an article here that wrapped up 2013 and set some goals for 2014. The slate has once again been wiped clean for the new year, but now’s as good of a time as any to reflect on the past year and set new goals for the coming one.

Recently I was at a family members house where they had recently remodeled their bathroom. On top of this toilet is a dual-flush set of buttons wher you can push one, the other, or both simultaneously. Without any kind of clarifying indication, I am unsure what will happen when I press these buttons .

List items are one of those things that look the same in a browser, Word document, email, or anywhere else. Fortunately, we have CSS to help us make these lists a bit more exciting on the web! While there are many ways to style list items, we’re going to look at a way of adding an icon from the FontAwesome icon library using only CSS and pseudo-elements.

It’s finally here. It’s taken months of brainstorming and one furious weekend of work, but it’s finally live. Yesterday marked the official re-launch of TheBurnetteAdventures.com! Lisa (my wife) has been begging me for months to redesign our personal family blog because it was looking dated, to say the least. (It had a 6-month-old picture in the header of our 2.5-year-old daughter.) Rather than just retheme the Drupal 6 installation that was there, I decided to give the site a full refresh. Here are bascially the 2 phases that I went through in one furious weekend.
